A letter from a class of students of Kyushu Jogakuin, a Japanese Quakers High School, in Kumamoto, Japan, addressed to students of the Friends School in Ramallah, Palestine. In this letter, the students talks about the annual rites and customs of students in Japan. They express how connected they feel to the friends in Palestine despite their distance and differences, and their desire to visit Palestine, the birthplace of Jesus.
Martha B. Akard, a Lutheran missionary in Japan and first principal of Kyushu Jogakuin, sent her students' letter to the Friends School in Ramallah.
